Rhys Ifans will play Dr. Curt Connors, better known as The Lizard, in Marc Webb's "Spider-Man," TheWrap has learned.
There had been rumors across the blogosphere that Sony was thinking of bringing back Venom for the franchise reboot, but that character will not be featured in the movie, two individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
Andrew Garfield stars as Peter Parker, while Emma Stone will play Gwen Stacy, who rivals Mary Jane Watson for Spidey's affection.
Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin are producing the movie, which begins production in December.
Dylan Baker played Connors in Sam Raimi's two "Spider-Man" sequels.
"Spider-Man" will hit theaters in 3D on July 3, 2012.
Alright, I'm pretty excited for this now. I love The Lizard and it's going to be interesting seeing how they portray him here. But I don't know how he can hold the attention for the entire movie. Hopefully they'll add another side villain or something. But so far, the only thing disappointing me is the 3D. =/
That's sort of a waste of time and not needed.
interesting post bro!

ReplyDeleteInteresting. Thanks, looking forward to it.
ReplyDeletemeh.. 3-D is over rated.. like I wanna pay extra for stupid flimsy glasses. Also LOL for thinking I want to recycle them back to the theater.. I paid for them..
ReplyDeletealagators have scales
ReplyDeletewhoa why does spiderman need to be rebooted? the others are fine? come on now. The lizard was awesome though, but hardly worth being the only antagonist in the film
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it turns out good!
ReplyDeletelizard was always an epic villian
ReplyDeleteThe Spiderman trilogy saturated the market with spider crap. There will be little interest in a Spiderman reboot so soon after Spiderman 3. I for one will not be watching.
